Choosing a market and reading odds

An example: Team A to win, stake ৳1,000 — decimal odds of 2.50 equals fractional 3/2 and American +150. If the bet wins, you get back ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 stake). If the bet loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
For a favourite, say Team B to win — decimal 1.50 = fractional 1/2 = American -200 (American minus odds indicate how much stake is needed for ৳100 profit). On a ৳1,000 stake, you get back ৳1,500 (৳500 profit).

Match Winner market
The most common market in any match — a bet on which team will win. In limited-overs cricket matches there is no draw.
Handicap and Over/Under
In handicap markets, the weaker team is given an advantage. In Over/Under, you bet on the total number of runs or goals in a match.
Live betting
Markets stay open while the match is in progress — odds change every moment. Quick decisions are needed.
Bet slip — single and multi bets
Clicking on the odds for an event adds it to the bet slip. Enter the stake on the slip and the potential return is shown. A single selection is called a single bet.
A multi bet (or accumulator) means placing several selections together in one bet. If all selections win, the total return is much higher, but if even one loses, the entire stake is gone.

An example from a live-overs match: Team A odds 1.65, Team B odds 2.30. Stake ৳1,000 on Team B — if Team B wins, return is ৳2,300 (৳1,300 profit); if Team A wins, ৳1,000 is lost.
On a betting exchange, backing Team A at decimal odds of 1.80 (stake ৳1,000) — if Team A wins you receive ৳800 before commission; if they do not win, you lose ৳1,000. Laying Team A (liability stake ৳1,000) — your liability is ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80); if Team A does not win you receive ৳1,000 before commission; if they win, you pay out ৳800.
